THE GOSPEL TODAY.

Today's Verse “When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, ‘Dear Woman, here is your son.’ And he said to this disciple ‘here is your mother.’ And from then on this disciple took her into his home.” - John 19:26-27 Mother’s Day is a very special day. It is one of the most meaningful expressions of love that we can be a part of. One thing that is overlooked around this time of the year, is that Jesus had a mother too. Today’s passage provides us with a wonderful example of a child’s love for their mother. In the midst of dying, Jesus made sure that someone would be there to take care of His mother. In the moment this passage was spoken Jesus showed us an incredible example of how important mothers truly are. As you celebrate Mother’s Day this year, remind yourself of just how important your mother is, and how she’s has been in your life. Thank her for all that she has given you.
