CARRIED TO THE END

Today's Verse

“Even to your old age I am he, even when you turn gray I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.” -Isaiah 46:4
Each new chapter of life brings different fears and worries; as well as joys and adventures. It can be scary leaving childhood behind, facing middle age, or reaching the later years. Thankfully, we’re not alone in this journey. Whatever may be facing us, we don’t have to do it by ourselves. Even though we’re adults now, we have someone to hold us, carry us, and be a Father to us—that someone is God! It is so reassuring to know that He will always be with us and take care of us. From the time we take our first breath to the time we take our last. Don’t be afraid of the days ahead. Whether you’re just starting out or whether you’re in “your old age,” God is here for you! – Commentary by Traci Elliott

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that we can call You Father and that You will always carry us through all our lives. Amen.

INSTRUMENTS OF GOD

The Holy Trinity  “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16 Jesus makes a threefold connection in this passage. He connects you to Him and Himself to the Father. Thus, when you are acting as a true instrument of the Lord, and another either listens to or rejects what you bring to them, then they are either listening to or rejecting not only you but also our Lord and the Father in Heaven. One thing this reveals is the awesome responsibility we all have to bring the love and mercy of the Father in Heaven to those whom we encounter every day. We are able to be true instruments of God. In making such a strong connection between us, Himself and the Father in Heaven, Jesus is elevating our human dignity to an incredible level. The time has come for us to remind ourselves of what this country used to be. Modernization and perhaps civilization has made us all so comfortable we pay little or no attention to our historical background. The only time we feel the need to get informed about the history of this great country is when we have job interviews to attend. The current affairs being taught at the primary school is not doing enough justice as many adults do not have the basic knowledge of how this country evolved and came to be what it is now. Majority of the people that represents that time of our history are gradually thinning out; the few left are either being celebrated for their works and investments or forgotten in some remote village.
