GOD WILL ANSWER

Today's Verse

“The Lord is close to all who call on Him, Yes, to all who call on Him in Truth. He grants the desires of those who fear Him. He hears their cries for help and rescues them.” –Psalm 145:18-19
The Lord is a righteous God, who is filled with love for those who call on Him. Sometimes it may seem that when we offer our prayers to Him, He doesn't answer them. The Truth is that He does answer them, each and every one. It may not be the answer we desire at first, but God knows our heart and He will grant our requests, in His timing. Our requests must mean something though. We can’t just ask God for something and then hope it will just appear before us. Sometimes it takes a step of faith on our part. God hears our cries and He is always there to answer them, but our requests must come from the heart. Trust that when you call to Him in truth that, in time, He will answer. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father, God, I know that You are there. Sometimes it doesn't seem like You are but it’s true and You always listen to my prayer. Teach me to trust that You will answer my requests. Amen.

INSTRUMENTS OF GOD

The Holy Trinity  “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16 Jesus makes a threefold connection in this passage. He connects you to Him and Himself to the Father. Thus, when you are acting as a true instrument of the Lord, and another either listens to or rejects what you bring to them, then they are either listening to or rejecting not only you but also our Lord and the Father in Heaven. One thing this reveals is the awesome responsibility we all have to bring the love and mercy of the Father in Heaven to those whom we encounter every day. We are able to be true instruments of God. In making such a strong connection between us, Himself and the Father in Heaven, Jesus is elevating our human dignity to an incredible level. The time has come for us to remind ourselves of what this country used to be. Modernization and perhaps civilization has made us all so comfortable we pay little or no attention to our historical background. The only time we feel the need to get informed about the history of this great country is when we have job interviews to attend. The current affairs being taught at the primary school is not doing enough justice as many adults do not have the basic knowledge of how this country evolved and came to be what it is now.
