MAKING A DECISION FOR THE LORD.

Today's Verse

Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10: 9, 10
Do you remember the moment when you became old enough to vote? You were given the privilege to express your opinion. But, you were also given the responsibility to make an important decision about an issue or candidate. It was a great statement from your heart that would have a powerful effect. But, there is one decision that every heart must make that out ranks all of the others. Is the Lord the center of your life or is He not? It is not only important to make the decision, but, to strengthen it with the essence of who you are. A believing heart is a faithful heart that confesses with the mouth that the Lord is their Savior. It is through Him that they have their salvation. It is hard to even fathom living a life without His amazing and awesome presence, love, and grace. Make a lifelong choice for the Lord today. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto

Today's Prayer

Lord, I want to make the right, eternal choice for my life. I choose You, and want to serve You all of my days. You are the way, the truth and the life. Amen

INSTRUMENTS OF GOD

The Holy Trinity  “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16 Jesus makes a threefold connection in this passage. He connects you to Him and Himself to the Father. Thus, when you are acting as a true instrument of the Lord, and another either listens to or rejects what you bring to them, then they are either listening to or rejecting not only you but also our Lord and the Father in Heaven. One thing this reveals is the awesome responsibility we all have to bring the love and mercy of the Father in Heaven to those whom we encounter every day. We are able to be true instruments of God. In making such a strong connection between us, Himself and the Father in Heaven, Jesus is elevating our human dignity to an incredible level. The time has come for us to remind ourselves of what this country used to be. Modernization and perhaps civilization has made us all so comfortable we pay little or no attention to our historical background. The only time we feel the need to get informed about the history of this great country is when we have job interviews to attend. The current affairs being taught at the primary school is not doing enough justice as many adults do not have the basic knowledge of how this country evolved and came to be what it is now.
