THE PROMISE OF STRENGTH.

Today's Verse

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” – Philippians 4:13
What does this verse even mean? Put in context, we see that Paul tells the church that he knows the secret of contentment regardless of whether he has food in his belly or money in the bank: he can do all things through Christ. We are not sufficient in ourselves our sufficiency is from God (2 Co 3:5). Why? Because His grace is sufficient for us and His power is showcased in our weakness. This same power gives us everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. No matter what the spiritual or physical circumstance, if we give up trying to be self-sufficient and realize that everything that we have is possible only because God provided it for us, then we too can be content. With the understanding that everything can be done only by His strength, all we need do is rely on Him. – Commentary by Sarine Thomas

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, everything that I have in my life is ultimately from You and not a result of my own abilities. Therefore, I too, can be content because You alone strengthen me to do all things. Remind me of this truth every day.
Have a blessed day.
