Today's Verse

“But, who so keepth His word, in Him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.” - I John 2:5
Have you ever heard a quote or saying that won a special place in your heart? It’s a catalyst of promise that brings wonderful joy and meaning to your life. It is something that you love and cherish. The Bible is the beautiful catalyst of hope bestowed from God’s heart to ours. It’s a gift of grace that details His law, His love, and His will. He gaves it to us with great generosity, knowing that it will be a blessing to our life. But, it is important that we know how to properly receive that gift. It should be a beautiful masterpiece that captivates our heart. Whenever we hear it, and abide by it, it becomes a part of us and makes us a new person. We should appreciate it with gratitude. His breathtaking, living presence lives within us. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto

My Lord, I cannot thank You enough for the gift of Your word. I love and adore it, more, with every breath that I take. It is nourishing food for my spirit. I value this precious gift more than I can ever say. Amen.

INSTRUMENTS OF GOD

The Holy Trinity  “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16 Jesus makes a threefold connection in this passage. He connects you to Him and Himself to the Father. Thus, when you are acting as a true instrument of the Lord, and another either listens to or rejects what you bring to them, then they are either listening to or rejecting not only you but also our Lord and the Father in Heaven. One thing this reveals is the awesome responsibility we all have to bring the love and mercy of the Father in Heaven to those whom we encounter every day. We are able to be true instruments of God. In making such a strong connection between us, Himself and the Father in Heaven, Jesus is elevating our human dignity to an incredible level. The time has come for us to remind ourselves of what this country used to be. Modernization and perhaps civilization has made us all so comfortable we pay little or no attention to our historical background. The only time we feel the need to get informed about the history of this great country is when we have job interviews to attend. The current affairs being taught at the primary school is not doing enough justice as many adults do not have the basic knowledge of how this country evolved and came to be what it is now.
