Watford have turned down a £37.5million bid from Shanghai SIPG for Odion Ighalo, because he is not keen on the transfer.
It is the second time in a year, that the Super Eagles striker has rejected a move to the Chinese Super League.
Ighalo refused a £300,000-a-week deal with Qinhuangdao-based Hebei China Fortune last summer and stayed at the Hornets where he signed a five-year deal.
Explaining his decision in February, Ighalo said: “I prayed about it, and God said it was not for me, no matter how much money it was.
“I knew God would direct me.
“When I said I don’t want to go, they offered me more money — almost £300,000 a week. I told them it’s not about the money.”
