PREPARE FOR RAIN

Today's Verse

“When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God’s blessing.” – Hebrews 6:7
In the feature film, “Facing the Giants,” the main character uses the line, “I’m preparing for rain” as a part of the climax in the story. He uses this line as a way of telling the person he is speaking too that he has put his trust into God’s promise of faithfulness. The character dedicates himself in preparation for the rain God has promised. The end result is something nothing short of miraculous. It is the same way in our lives today. God has promised to be faithful to us in all things. Our journey to receiving that promise begins with, “preparing for rain.” When our lives are prepared for what God has for us we, “soak up,” His rain. In the end, we, “bear a good fruit” just as we are meant to. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, today I pray that You will show me ways I can prepare for the rain that You have for me. Show me how to bear the fruit You have called me to bear in this life. Amen.
