SEEING THROUGH HIS EYES

Today's Verse

“Open my eyes so that I can truly see the marvelous things in your law. I am like a foreigner in this land. Do not hide your commands from me.” –Psalm 119:18-19
God does some pretty incredible things. One of His deepest desires is that we would take the time to truly see the marvelous things He has done. Every day we wake up is another day we can learn more about the wonders He has created. We don’t have to wait around for something great to be created because, it's already there in the scriptures waiting for us to discover. The marvelous things we can learn in the law that was given to us show us what living a life that honors God is truly about. The question remains, “What will you do today?” The answer isn’t as hard as it may seem. Simply ask God to open your eyes so you can see all that He has to offer you and more. – Commentary by Matthew Elliott

Today's Prayer

Father God, Open my eyes so that I may see the world through Your eyes and not my own. Do not hide Your love from me Lord. Thank You for all that You’ve done for us. Amen.

INSTRUMENTS OF GOD

The Holy Trinity  “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16 Jesus makes a threefold connection in this passage. He connects you to Him and Himself to the Father. Thus, when you are acting as a true instrument of the Lord, and another either listens to or rejects what you bring to them, then they are either listening to or rejecting not only you but also our Lord and the Father in Heaven. One thing this reveals is the awesome responsibility we all have to bring the love and mercy of the Father in Heaven to those whom we encounter every day. We are able to be true instruments of God. In making such a strong connection between us, Himself and the Father in Heaven, Jesus is elevating our human dignity to an incredible level. The time has come for us to remind ourselves of what this country used to be. Modernization and perhaps civilization has made us all so comfortable we pay little or no attention to our historical background. The only time we feel the need to get informed about the history of this great country is when we have job interviews to attend. The current affairs being taught at the primary school is not doing enough justice as many adults do not have the basic knowledge of how this country evolved and came to be what it is now.
